GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – Hopping out of conference for the final time this season, the University of Bridgeport's men's soccer team dropped a 4-1 matchup at Adelphi on Saturday. The loss shifts the Purple Knights' overall record to 6-5-3 this season, while remaining at 5-2-1 in the CACC.
With a 0-0 score at halftime, all five of the game's goals were scored across the final 45 minutes of regulation.
The Panthers' four goals were scored by four different players. Richard DeBrosse (46th minute), Rory Duggan (50th minute), Lucas Nicolaou (66th minute) and Jad Abbas (85th minute) all found the back of the net.
Sophomore Joao Miranda's second goal of the year served as UB's lone tally in the 77th minute. He was able to put away an assist from Ewen Le Cozic.
The Purple Knights put four other shots on target that were stopped by Adelphi goalkeeper Chris Interiano.
On the other side, UB's goalkeepers Hugo Franceschi and Cooper Robertson combined for three saves in net.
