On Sunday, we retired the jerseys of 3 of the best to ever wear the purple and white here at the University of Bridgeport! In a ceremony before the game vs Franklin Pierce, Manute Bol, Stevie Ray and Lambert Shell had their jerseys unveiled on the wall of Harvey Hubbell Gymnasium. This gesture recognizes the incredible impact these three have made on and off the court to the University and community beyond. Everyone who steps on Bruce Webster Court will be able to look up and know what numbers 10, 30 & 42 mean to the University of Bridgeport Men's Basketball program! In the first round of the CACC Tournament, the University of Bridgeport's softball team earned a 5-1 win over seventh-seeded Caldwell on Saturday. The second-seeded Purple Knights will now advance to Championship Weekend at Wilmington on May 2-4. We spoke with Senior Angela Oros after her stellar day at the plate that helped UB advance into the double-elimination portion of the CACC Tournament.

In the final two games of the regular season, the University of Bridgeport's softball team (24-20, 17-5 CACC) tallied a pair of run-rule wins over Bentley on Wednesday. The Purple Knights finished with victories of 13-0 and 13-1 in nine total innings of action.

In their penultimate home game of the regular season, the University of Bridgeport's men's lacrosse team posted a 21-9 win over Caldwell on Saturday night. The victory pushes the Purple Knights' record to 6-6 this season (3-3, CACC). For the second straight game, Bridgeport scored 20-plus goals and allowed single-digit goals. The Purple Knights have now won three games this season by at least 12 tallies. We spoke with Sophomore James Napoli after his team-high 8 points highlighted by 6 assists!

Highlighted by a program record for goals, the University of Bridgeport's men's lacrosse team tallied a 25-2 win over Felician on Wednesday night. The decisive victory pushes the Purple Knights' record to 5-6 this season. It was season highs all around for UB in a dominant triumph. The Purple Knights scored at least five goals in each quarter and led 13-2 at halftime. They also earned a 39-15 advantage in ground balls and allowed just two goals for the second time this season.

Fueled by a season-high goal total, the University of Bridgeport's women's lacrosse team enjoyed a 21-12 win over Post on Tuesday. The home victory pushes the Purple Knights' record to 8-3 this season (3-2, CACC). Tied 11-11 after three quarters, Bridgeport closed the game with a 10-1 stretch. The Purple Knights scored eight straight tallies across the final 11:37 of regulation. We spoke with So. Tara Dimaio after a career-day, leading the team in 3 categories, with 8 Caused Turnovers, 7 Goals and 5 Ground Balls and adding 2 Assists!

In their second and final home meet of the year, the University of Bridgeport's gymnastics team tallied a season-high score of 195.025 on Sunday. The Purple Knights finished first amongst the other competing teams of Brown University, Talladega College, and Rhode Island College. Bridgeport's team mark on Sunday is not only their highest of the season, but the highest in almost five years. The last time UB eclipsed 195 points was on April 13, 2019, at USAG Nationals. Competing in one of the more unique venues of the season, the University of Bridgeport's gymnastics squad tallied a mark of 193.125 at the All-American Challenge held at Mohegan Sun on Monday. The Purple Knights have now eclipsed 193 points on two occasions this season. In fact, UB's total on Sunday serves as their second highest of the year, finishing slightly less than their 193.550 on Jan. 26.

He also grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds to secure his first double-double of the season, in addition to recording two blocks, two steals and two assists.
