BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Entering the night on a two-game winning streak, the University of Bridgeport's men's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against Felician (10-3-2, 5-2-2 CACC) on Tuesday. The scoreless tie moves the Purple Knights' record to 6-4-3 overall this season and 5-2-1 in the CACC.
In a matchup between two teams sitting next to each other in the CACC standings, the game finished in a defensive stalemate. UB has now played two 0-0 draws this season.
UB's goalkeeper Gianny Provincial finished with five saves in net to earn his third shutout of the season. He is currently allowing just 1.1 goals per game across his 10 starts this fall.
Bridgeport put just one shot on goal which was fended off by Felician goalkeeper Emanuele Moretti in the second half.
Statistically, the Golden Falcons earned a 9-5 advantage in corner kicks and a 13-5 edge in total shots.
