Agustin Prados Strong In Goal But UB Men's Soccer Falls At LIU Post, 2-0

Brookville, N.Y.-University of Bridgeport goalkeeper Agustin Prados (Sr., Madrid, Spain) played a fine game making eight saves to keep the Purple Knights men's soccer team in the match all afternoon, but it was not enough, as UB fell, 2-0, to the host LIU Post Pioneers in an East Coast Conference match on Saturday afternoon on Long Island.  Bridgeport is now 4-5-0 overall and 3-3-0 in the ECC.  LIU Post ups its overall record to 7-3-1, and the Pioneers are 4-1-1 in conference action.

The Pioneers, who outshot the Purple Knights 24 to 5 on the day, scored their first goal at the 14:47 mark of the first half and put the match away with a tally with just 3:45 to play.

LIU Post Jesper Malmstrom made two saves to notch the clean sheet for the winners.

Up next, the Bridgeport men's soccer team hits the halfway point its six-match road swing with a non-conference match on Tuesday night, October 14th at local rival Southern Connecticut Sate University. Action in New Haven is slated to get underway at 7:00 p.m.
