Bloomfield Blanks Men's Soccer, 1-0

Bridgeport, Conn.-Bloomfield College's Terry Gibbs scored the only goal of the match just 45 second into the second half to lift the Deacons (1-5-0) to a 1-0 non-conference men's soccer win over the host University of Bridgeport Purple Knights  (3-3-0) on Wednesday night.

Gibbs scored his first goal of the season off an assist from Claude Allen.

UB held a 13-11 advantage in shots on the night but could only put three shots on net as Daniel Hyde recorded the shutout for the Deacons.

Bridgeport junior goalkeeper Danny Hernandez (Bay Shore, N.Y.) made four saves for the Purple Knights.

The UB men's soccer team returns to action on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m., as they host C.W. Post, who is ranked number 10 in the country by the NSCAA, in an East Coast Conference contest.
