UB Men's Soccer Ranked Fourth In East Region By The NSCAA
Purple Knights Travel To Franklin Pierce and Host UMass Lowell This Week
Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport men's soccer team, under direction of head coach Brian Quinn, is ranked fourth in the first regular season NCAA Division II Men's Soccer East Regional Poll conducted by the National Soccer Coach Association of America (NSCAA).
UB opened its 2011 season on Saturday night with a 2-0 home win over Southern Connecticut State University.
Along with being ranked fourth in the East Region by the NSCAA, the Purple Knights are also one of the teams receiving votes in this week's National Division II Top-25.
This week, Bridgeport travels to Franklin Pierce University on Thursday afternoon. The Ravens check in at number two in the region and number seven in the nation in this week's NSCAA rankings. After Thursday's trip to New Hampshire, UB closes out this week's action with a Saturday home match versus UMass Lowell. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
