Cross Country Teams Compete At NJIT Highlander Invitational

Newark, N.J.-The University of Bridgeport cross team teams took part in the NJIT Highlander Invitation on Saturday morning at Branch Brook Park in Newark, New Jersey.  The UB men finished 26th out of a large 29 team field, and the UB women did not finish with a team score, as they did not have six finishers.

In the women's race, junior Alexandra Toth (Sandy Hook, Conn.) was the first Purple Knights finisher in a time of 22:51.55 which put her in 108th place

In the men's 8K race, the top finisher for the Purple Knights was junior D'Andre Collins (Newark, N.J.), who took 159th place in a time of 34:33.47 in his hometown. 

Up next, the UB cross country teams compete at Mt. St. Mary's (NY) for the third time this season.
