Volleyball Earns 3-0 Sweep at Felician
Purple Knights move to 12-8 overall this season and 5-2 in the CACC.
RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Continuing a stretch of 11 straight conference matches, the University of Bridgeport's volleyball team posted a 3-0 sweep at Felician on Wednesday night. The decisive win pushes the Purple Knights' record to 12-8 overall this season and 5-2 in the CACC.
The Purple Knights put together one of their most dominant performances of the year against the Golden Falcons. UB never trailed in the match and won the first two sets by a combined score of 50-27.
Jaden Drollinger continued her sensational senior season with another 29-assist, nine-dig, four-kill performance. She ranks first in the CACC in both total assists (749) and assists per set (9.86) this fall.
Drollinger spread the ball around to the trio of Hailey Jessen, Paola Hernandez and Lucia Tomiello, who were all terrific at the net.
Jessen led UB with 10 kills while Hernandez chipped in eight and Tomiello added seven. Tomiello was especially efficient with a .375 hitting percentage.
Hernandez continues to rank second in the CACC in kills per set this season with a mark of 3.56.
Defensively, Ella Bowman led the Purple Knights in digs with 15. She has now reached double figures in digs across five straight matches.
