WALTHAM, Mass. – Facing their 10th NE10 opponent of the season, the University of Bridgeport's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 contest (18-25, 21-25, 25-22, 19-25) at Bentley on Wednesday night. The defeat shifts the Purple Knights' record to 10-8 this year.
For the second night in a row, it was the senior duo of Jaden Drollinger and Paola Hernandez leading the UB attack.
Hernandez, who had 20 kills last night, posted another 18 kills and 14 digs on Wednesday—both of which served as team highs. She also hit a team best .326.
Drollinger, meanwhile, dished out a match-high 40 assists as she continues to lead the CACC in that category. Drollinger is averaging 9.73 assists per set this season.
Sophomore Grace Presswood joined Hernandez with double-digit kills (10) while matching her 14 digs as a team high. Classmate Hailey Jessen rounded out UB's most successful hitters with nine kills.
As a team, UB totaled five aces and 2.5 blocks while collectively hitting .182.
