Volleyball Wins at Pace, 3-1
Paola Hernandez led the way with 18 kills, 11 digs and three service aces across the four sets.
PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Facing one of their toughest non-conference opponents of the regular season, the University of Bridgeport's volleyball team earned a 3-1 win (26-24, 25-18, 18-25, 25-20) at Pace University on Tuesday night. The win puts the Purple Knights' record at 2-1 this season.
It was a standout performance from Paola Hernandez that piloted UB against the Setters. The senior racked up a season-high 18 kills with a .220 hitting percentage. She also added 11 digs and three service aces across the four sets.
Hailey Jessen joined Hernandez in double figures with 12 kills while Jaden Drollinger dished out another 32 assists. Drollinger chipped in nine digs as well.
UB's offense was supplemented by nine kills from Lucia Tomiello and seven from Grace Presswood. Presswood also added 13 digs.
Speaking of digs, Kenyce Johnson led the way for Bridgeport with a match-high 22.
