BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – In a game that was postponed with 14:44 remaining in the first half last Tuesday, the University of Bridgeport's women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 completed matchup to Caldwell on Monday afternoon. The loss shifts the Purple Knights' overall record to 6-8-3 this season (5-5 in CACC).
Bridgeport entered the afternoon on top 1-0 with 14:44 remaining in the first half. UB's advantage came courtesy of Brooke Boucher's sixth goal of the season in the 13th minute.
Fellow senior Leigh-Ann Ramsay earned the assist on the play as Boucher and Ramsay continue to rank No. 1 and No. 2 on Bridgeport in points this season.
Boucher sits with 17 points off six goals and five assists while Ramsay sits with 14 points on five tallies and four helpers.
Down 1-0 to start the day, Caldwell notched two goals during the resumed contest on Monday. The Cougars tied the game in the 48th minute before notching the game-winner in the 62nd minute.
Defensively for UB, sophomore goalkeeper Angelina Griva played the full 90 minutes in net. She finished with eight saves to raise her total to 79 stops this season.
