Tara Dimaio of Women's Lacrosse Named CACC's Co-Player of the Week
Totaled 14 goals, 12 draw controls, eight caused turnovers and eight ground balls across three games.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following a trio of top-notch performances, junior Tara Dimaio of the University of Bridgeport's women's lacrosse team has been selected as the CACC's Co-Player of the Week. She now has two weekly conference awards this season after being named the Defensive Player of the Week on March 17.
Dimaio piled up sensational stats during UB's 2-1 stretch last week. The Long Island native finished the three games with 14 goals, 12 draw controls, eight caused turnovers and eight ground balls. She also dished out an assist in each of the contests.
Dimaio's terrific week featured a career-high eight goals in the Purple Knights' win over AIC last Monday. She is also currently the CACC's leader this season in both ground balls (3.55) and caused turnovers (2.64) per game.
Bridgeport's women's lacrosse squad returns to action on Wednesday when they visit 24th-ranked Dominican at 3:30 p.m.
