Dimaio of Women's Lacrosse Tabbed CACC Defensive Player of the Week
Tallied five caused turnovers, six ground balls and three goals in a 15-4 win over Felician.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – After a marvelous home debut last Friday night, junior Tara Dimaio of the University of Bridgeport's women's lacrosse team has been named the CACC's Defensive Player of the Week. She has now earned three conference weekly awards in her UB career.
Dimaio put together massive stat totals in UB's decisive win over Felician last week. The Long Island native finished with five caused turnovers and six ground balls—both of which are new season bests. She also contributed three goals and four draw controls as Bridgeport posted a 15-4 triumph to open conference play.
Dimaio and the rest of UB's women's lacrosse squad (2-2, 1-0 CACC) return to action on Wednesday afternoon with a home game against Franklin Pierce (4 p.m.).
