NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Continuing the non-conference portion of their schedule, the University of Bridgeport's women's lacrosse team dropped a 16-6 contest at Southern Connecticut State on Wednesday. The loss moves the Purple Knights' record to 3-1 this year.
Bridgeport's offense was supplied by a trio of two-goal scorers.
Danielle Kreitler, Tara Dimaio and Tereza Kreuzova all found the back of the net twice for the Purple and White.
UB's other point-getters included Max McDermott and Emily Stuart, who each dished out assists.
In other statistical departments, Kreitler led Bridgeport with six draw controls while Dimaio tallied a team-high three caused three turnovers.
Junior goalkeeper Jacklyn Mellia finished with nine saves in her first loss of the season.
