Six UB Student-Athletes Named to CSC's Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – A total of six University of Bridgeport women's student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large Team on Tuesday. UB had three women's lacrosse players, and three gymnasts earn recognition that signifies superb performances both in competition and in the classroom.

Kaley Maxwell, Jackie Mellia and Emily Stuart represent the Purple Knights' women's lacrosse program while Maggie Coyle, Olivia Imbarlina and Abby Kenney were honored as members of UB's gymnastics team.

Bridgeport's Women's At-Large CSC Academic All-District Honorees

Kaley Maxwell | Sophomore | 3.98 GPA | Criminal Justice & Human Security
- CACC All-Conference First Team
- CACC All-Academic Team
- Started at all 17 games
- Ranked second on UB in both caused turnovers (33) and ground balls (35)

Jackie Mellia | Senior | 3.97 GPA | Nursing
- CACC Academic All-Conference
- Broke UB's all-time saves record (566)
- Started all 61 of UB's games over the last four years

Emily Stuart | Junior | 3.80 GPA | Nursing
- CACC All-Conference Second Team
- Started all 17 games
- Terrific all-around season with 60 draw controls (2^nd on the team), 27 points (18G, 9A), 24 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers.

Maggie Coyle | Junior | 3.78 GPA | Health Sciences
- WCGNIC First-Team All-American (floor)
- All-GEC Second Team (floor)
- GEC Scholar Athlete
- Reached at least 9.8 on floor in seven meets

Olivia Imbarlina | Senior | 3.76 GPA | Health Sciences
- All-GEC Second Team (beam)
- Named Nominee for the 2025 AAI Award
- Three-year team captain
- GEC Scholar Athlete
- Reached at least 9.75 on beam in six meets

Abby Kenney | Junior | 3.72 GPA | Psychology
- WCGA Division II Co-Gymnast of the Year
- WCGA Regular Season All-American (All-Around)
- WCGNIC First-Team All-American (bars, beam, floor)
- All-GEC First Team in All-Around and Beam
- All-GEC Second Team on Vault, Bars, Floor
- Twice named GEC Gymnast of the Week
- GEC Scholar Athlete

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes At-Large honorees in five divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and the College Division.
