Gymnastics Sweeps in Home Quad Meet Win
Purple Knights defeat Rhode Island College, Springfield College and Wilberforce University.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Competing at home for the second time this season, the University of Bridgeport's gymnastics team won a quad meet against Rhode Island College, Springfield College and Wilberforce University on Sunday. The Purple Knights bested the field with a mark of 192.175 which was also their score last weekend at Yale.

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
Four different Purple Knights earned top marks on Sunday as Bridgeport swept all the events.
Sophomore Nova Staruk began things with the individual title on vault (9.775) while junior Abigail Kenney followed with a first-place and career-high score on bars (9.775).
Olivia Imbarlina shined next on beam, registering a top mark of 9.750. She has now reached that score in four of five meets this season.
Margaret Coyle wrapped up Bridgeport's sweep with a first-place mark (9.825) on floor, which matched her score from last week.
Kenney also posted top-four tallies on beam (9.600) and floor (9.725) en route to a second-place mark in the all-around (38.150).
Lola Sepulveda joined in with terrific performances of her own courtesy of a trio of top-six finishes. The junior recorded a 9.625 on vault, a 9.650 on floor and a 9.625 on bars.
Bars served as UB's most successful event with a total of 48.425. The Purple Knights had six finish in the top 10, including Emily Hernandez and Samantha Nokes tied for third (9.700) and Nicole Pujals (9.575) in eighth.

The Purple Knights will be home once again on Valentine's Day. UB hosts Long Island University for a dual meet at 6 p.m.
