Gymnastics Places Second at Yale Tri-Meet
Purple Knights tally second-highest score of season (192.175).
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Facing a pair of familiar in-state foes for the second time this season, the University of Bridgeport's gymnastics team finished with a score of 192.175 in a tri-meet at Yale on Sunday. The Purple Knights placed behind the Bulldogs (194.450) and ahead of Southern Connecticut State (191.675) for a second-place finish.

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
For the third straight week, UB's Abigail Kenney was victorious in the all-around. She has now defeated gymnasts from Brown, Springfield, West Chester, Centenary, SCSU (twice) and Yale.
Kenney upped her season best score on Sunday courtesy of 39.050. In fact, that is the second highest mark in her career so far as she has now reached a 39 on five occasions.
Kenney's afternoon featured a top mark and season high on beam (9.875), a sixth-place score on bars (9.700) and eighth-place finishes on both vault (9.700) and floor (9.775).
Fellow junior Lola Sepulveda also won an event on Sunday. The Virginia native finished as the top score on vault with mark of 9.800.
The Purple Knights boasted three more top-five finishes in the form of Margaret Coyle, Nova Staruk and Olivia Imbarlina.
Coyle finished third on floor with a score of 9.825, Staruk placed second on vault with a mark of 9.775 and Imbarlina posted a third-place effort on beam with a tally of 9.750.
UB's most successful event was vault as they enjoyed six different top-12 performances. The Purple Knights racked up a 48.600 which is a new season high.
