Gymnastics Posts Season-High Score in Quad Meet Victory
The Purple Knights registered season-high marks in bars, beam, and floor.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – In their second and final home meet of the year, the University of Bridgeport's gymnastics team tallied a season-high score of 195.025 on Sunday. The Purple Knights finished first amongst the other competing teams of Brown University, Talladega College, and Rhode Island College.
Bridgeport's team mark on Sunday is not only their highest of the season, but the highest in almost five years. The last time UB eclipsed 195 points was on April 13, 2019, at USAG Nationals.

Fueled by a plethora of strong individual performances, the Purple Knights posted season highs in bars, beam, and floor.
Nova Staruk and Lola Sepulveda set the tone with exemplary efforts on their first event, the vault. Staruk posted a 9.825 while Sepulveda tallied a 9.80.
Next up was a top performance from Emily Hernandez, who defeated all competitors on bars. The California native garnered a season-best score of 9.850.
UB had another top individual score in the form of senior Hannah Barry on beam. She finished with the highest tally of all competitors with a mark of 9.850. Junior Olivia Imbarlina served as UB's second finisher thanks to a 9.725.
Bridgeport's final event, floor, proved to be its best of the afternoon. Sepulveda notched a career-high 9.875 while classmate Abigail Kenney put together a score of 9.825.
Senior Kieran Ross was also stellar on floor, boasting a career-best score of 9.800.
