Several Purple Knights Recognized With Inaugural Gymnastics East Conference Accolades

Bridgeport, Conn.-Several members of the University of Bridgeport women's gymnastics team have been honored this week with recognition on the inaugural Gymnastics East Conference (GEC) All-Conference Teams plus the GEC Scholar-Athlete Team.

Senior Kathryn Doran (Oakville, Ontario, Canada) earned First Team All-GEC honors and the bars, and freshman Kiana Session (Chandler, Az.) was named First Team All-Conference in the all-around.

Catherine Aucoin (Fr., Austin, Tex.) received Second Team All-GEC accolades in the all-around.

A total of 10 Purple Knights earned spots on the Gymnastics East Conference Scholar-Athlete Team.

The University of Bridgeport women's gymnastics team will close out its 2022 team season this Saturday at the first-ever Gymnastics East Conference Championship Meet hosted by Brown University in Providence, Rhode island.  UB will compete in the first session on Saturday slated to begin at 1:00 p.m.
