UB's Maritza Futch Named ECAC Corvias Women's Gymnastics NCAA Division II Rookie of the Week

Danbury, Conn.-Freshman Maritza Futch (Atlanta, Ga.) of the University of Bridgeport women's gymnastics team has been selected as winner of Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Corvias Women's Gymnastics NCAA Division II Rookie of the Week Award for seven-day period ending March 13, 2016.

Futch notched a scores of 9.75 on her uneven bar routines in two meets as she continues her strong freshman campaign.

This week the University of Bridgeport women's gymnastics team will host the ECAC Division II Women's Gymnastics Meet in the Wheeler Recreation Center at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19.
