Women's Basketball Defeated at Felician

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Playing their penultimate game of the season, the University of Bridgeport's women's basketball team endured a 76-48 defeat at Felician on Saturday.

Freshman India Lee served as a highlight for the Purple Knights with a season-best 12 points off the bench. She knocked in two of UB's three three-pointers in the contest while also grabbing a team-best five rebounds.

Lee was part of UB bench that scored 33 of the Purple Knights' 48 total points.

Two more freshmen, Savannah Prescott and Zahkiyyah Frazier, ranked second on Bridgeport with six points apiece.

Shakira Hester led the Purple Knights in a trio of statistical categories, including assists (3), steals (2) and blocks (2). Niyah Whitten also tallied two steals.

Collectively speaking, UB's offense finished 16-for-49 from the field and 12-of-20 from the free-throw line.
