PHILADEPHIA, Pa. – In a rematch of last year's CACC Quarterfinals, the University of Bridgeport's women's basketball team was defeated at Jefferson on Saturday by a score of 63-31. The loss shifts the Purple Knights' record to 2-4 in the CACC this season.
Freshman India Lee led the UB offense with a season-high 11 points off the bench. She knocked in almost half of those points at the free throw line (5-for-8) while also chipping in four rebounds.
Six other Purple Knights finished with at least four rebounds in the contest while Ana Gascon posted a stat line of eight points, four boards and five steals.
Gascon is now ranked seventh in the CACC in steals (1.9 spg) this season and ninth in rebounding (7.4 rpg).
Bridgeport's offense finished 10-for-55 from the field, including 3-of-15 from three-point range. UB's defense forced 16 Jefferson turnovers.
