Rockville Centre, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport women's basketball team was limited to only 13 points on the first half, as the Purple Knights dropped their final road game of the 2019-20 season at Molloy College on Saturday afternoon, 65-41. UB heads into the final week of the season at 5-21 overall and 3-11 in the East Coast Conference. Molloy is now 18-8 overall and 8-3 in the ECC.
Juniors Samirah Henderson (Rahway, N.J.) and Janiece Loney (Herndon, Va.) led the Purple Knights in scoring, as the each netted nine points. Henderson also led the team in rebounding with eight boards.
All five starters reached double figures for the winners on the day.
Up next, the UB women's basketball team will begin a two-game homestand, as they host St. Thomas Aquinas on Wednesday night in Hubbell Gym. Game time set for 5:00 p.m.
