Philadelphia. Pa.-The University of Bridgeport women's basketball team travelled to the City of Brotherly Love on Sunday afternoon, and the host Philadelphia University Rams proved to be a tough hosts, as they defeated the visiting Purple Knights, 62-51. UB is now 1-3 on the year, and Philadelphia University evens its record at 2-2. Bridgeport led once in the contest at 5-4 in the early going, and after that the hosts led the rest of the day.
UB was led by 12 points apiece by sophomores Aurelie Leblanc-Florent (Longueuil, Quebec, Canada) and Morgen Caution (Baltimore, Md.). Caution led the Purple Knights with eight rebounds.
The UB women's basketball team will now take a Thanksgiving break and be back on the court on Monday, November 30 when they host American International College.
