Strong Second Half Propels Molloy Women Past Purple Knights, 62-52
Bridgeport Women Now 3-4 Overall And 2-1 In Conference Play
Bridgeport, Conn.-The Molloy College Lions shot 50 percent from the floor in the second half, connecting on 14-of-28 shots, to come back from a one-point halftime deficit (26-25) and post a 62-52 East Cost Conference win over the host University of Bridgeport Purple Knights on Wednesday night. With the win, Molloy is now 2-7 overall and 2-1 in the ECC. The Purple Knights fall to 3-4 overall and are now 2-1 in conference play.
Senior Kelly Keil (Sparta, N.J.) led UB with 11 points on the night, and she was joined in double figures by juniors Julia Colley (Harlow, England) and Edna Marant (Philadelphia, Pa.( who each netted 10 points.
Sophomore Ashley Addison led Molloy with a game-high 20 points, 11 of which came in the second half.
Bridgeport is back in action on Saturday afternoon when the travel to Long Island for an East Coast Conference tilt at NYIT. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
