Softball Swept in Doubleheader at Embry-Riddle

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Continuing their spring break trip to Florida, the University of Bridgeport's softball team dropped two games at Embry-Riddle on Wednesday.

Game One – Embry-Riddle 3, Bridgeport 2
Trailing 2-1 after five innings, Embry-Riddle put runs across in the sixth and the seventh to walk off with the win.

Bridgeport put both of their tallies across in the first inning. Sydnee Perreault registered a sac fly to start things while an RBI single from Samantha Schiebe put Bridgeport up 2-0.

Senior pitcher Kaite Burawski was once again terrific in the circle. The left-hander allowed just two earned runs across 6.1 innings. She finished with six strikeouts.

Burawski is currently boasting a 1.47 ERA this season with 37 strikeouts across 28.2 frames of work.

Game Two - Embry-Riddle 10, Bridgeport 2 (Six Innings)
Schiebe knocked in both of Bridgeport's runs in the second game. She doubled to center field in the first inning to score Perreault and Madison D'Amato.

Freshman Samantha Ledger also doubled in the game while Bridgeport totaled just four hits.
