Vandelli of Men's Cross Country Named CACC Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following a superb collegiate debut, freshman Edoardo Vandelli of the Bridgeport men's cross country team has been named the CACC's Rookie of the Week.

Vandelli led the way for the Purple Knights in their season-opening meet at the Adelphi Invitational last weekend. The Italy native tallied an 18^th-place finish in a time of 27:43.10. He finished as the top CACC rookie to finish in the race and fourth freshman overall.

Vandelli and the rest of the Purple Knights return to action this Saturday at Vassar's Ron Stonitsch Invitational in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
