Men's Cross Country Takes Seventh Place At 2013 ECC Championship Meet

Brookville, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport men's cross country team wrapped up its 2013 season at the East Coast Conference Championship Meet hosted by LIU Post on Long Island on Sunday morning.  The Purple Knights took seventh place on the day.  LIU Post won the ECC title for the fifth straight season.

Junior Naqwan Crowell (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) was the team's top finisher crossing the finish line after the 8k race in a time of 29:20.82, which was good for scoring place 33.

Sophomore Alex Birech (Eldoret, Kenya) was the next Purple Knights' finisher in scoring place 37 with a time of 30:01.55.
