Track and Field Teams Take Part in SCSU's Jack Maloney Invitational

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – In the first of two consecutive meets at Southern Connecticut State University, the University of Bridgeport's men's and women's track and field teams competed in the Jack Maloney Invitational on Saturday.

Nick Migliarese put forth the qualifying score in the hammer throw. The freshman tossed a 30.95m in the first time he has ever competed in the event.
Fellow freshman John Panzera also performed admirably. The Haddam, Conn. native posted personal records in both the javelin and the 110-hurdles. He finished fifth in the javelin (43.31m) while placing 10th in the hurdles (16.25).
Damian Coles enjoyed a personal best of his own courtesy of an outdoor PR in the 200-meter. He raced to a time of 23.40 to finish in 12th place on Saturday.
On the women's side, Morgan Dodge put together a solid day. The senior placed sixth in the javelin with a mark of 24.76m.
