BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Two days after being named the CACC's Co-Goalkeeper of the Week, sophomore Casey Dmochowski of the University of Bridgeport's men's lacrosse team has been selected to the USILA's Division II Team of the Week. He is the second Purple Knight (Ryan Thomas) to pick up the distinction this season.
Dmochowski put together his best performance of the year during UB's 7-5 win over Felician on Sunday. He piled up 13 stops, six of which came in the fourth quarter, while facing a total of 32 shots (72.2 save percentage). Dmochowski was vital in keeping Bridgeport in the game as the Purple Knights climbed out of a 5-1 deficit to pick up the road win.
Dmochowski has now recorded double-digit stops in seven contests this season and ranks fifth in the CACC in saves per game (12.13).
Dmochowski and the rest of Bridgeport's men's lacrosse team will return to action on Saturday night at home against Chestnut Hill College (6 p.m.).
