WALTHAM, Mass. – Playing a second consecutive nationally ranked opponent, the University of Bridgeport's men's lacrosse team (1-2) dropped a 16-4 affair at No. 10 Bentley on Wednesday afternoon.
After a tight 4-3 opening quarter, it was all Falcons over the final 45 minutes of regulation. Bentley blanked the Purple Knights over the second and third quarters en route to building up a 13-3 lead by the beginning of the fourth.
Freshman Stephen Trama scored two of UB's goals while Hunter Lizza and Luciano Canino also found the back of the net.
Trama dished out one of Bridgeport's two assists as well to finish with a team-high three points. Dewey Schoenfelder tallied UB's other helper in the contest.
Joe Martin, Matthew Levantini and Connor Cullen all led the Purple Knights with three ground balls in the contest.
In net, Casey Dmochowski rattled off a season-high 16 saves.

The Purple Knights will travel to Vermont on Saturday to take on Saint Michael's College at 3 p.m.
