Napoli and Nazario of Men's Lacrosse Earn CACC Weekly Awards
Napoli was slotted as the conference’s Player of the Week while Nazario was tabbed the CACC Goalkeeper of the Week.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following two dominant wins last week by the University of Bridgeport's men's lacrosse team, James Napoli and Peter Nazario were each recognized with CACC weekly awards on Monday. Napoli was slotted as the conference's Player of the Week while Nazario was tabbed the CACC Goalkeeper of the Week.
Napoli posted two dominant performances during UB's 2-0 stretch last week. The Long Island native piled up 16 points off eight goals and eight assists. He also recorded three caused turnovers and two ground balls.
Napoli is currently ranked fourth in the CACC in assists this season with 21.
Nazario also put forth two standout performances in the UB wins last week. The senior racked up an impressive 27 saves while allowing just 11 goals. Nazario saved 71.1 percent of shots on goal.
Nazario is now ranked fifth in the CACC in both total stops (131) and save percentage (52.0) this season.
The University of Bridgeport's men's lacrosse team will return to action on Saturday against Dominican.
