ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – Continuing the non-conference portion of their schedule, the University of Bridgeport's men's lacrosse team was defeated at Molloy on Saturday by a score of 13-2. The loss shifts the Purple Knights' record to 2-3 this season.
UB's goals were supplied by sophomore Matthew Levantini in the first quarter and classmate James Napoli in the fourth. Levantini also earned the assist on Napoli's tally.
Another sophomore, Connor Cullen, led the Purple Knights with four ground balls while three other players registered three apiece.
Defensively, Luca Runyan and Ryan Thomas both tallied a team-high two caused turnovers while goalkeeper Peter Nazario finished with eight saves.
UB put 15 shots on goal, forcing the Molloy goalie to make 13 stops in the game.
