BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Playing at home for the first time this season, the University of Bridgeport's men's lacrosse team was defeated by Saint Michael's College on Saturday by a score of 10-3.
For the second straight game, it was tough second half for the Purple Knights as they trailed by just one after 30 minutes of action.
Bridgeport's goals were supplied by Daniel Orebiyi and Dewey Schoenfelder in the first half while freshman Matthew Levantini scored in the fourth quarter.
Levantini also earned an assist on Orebiyi's tally while James Napoli found Schoenfelder for his goal.
On the defensive side of things, goalkeeper Peter Nazario racked up 14 saves and freshman Joe Martin tallied a team-high four caused turnovers.
Martin also tied for the team lead with Luca Runyan in ground balls (4).
