Men's Basketball Suffers First ECC Loss Of The Season At C.W. Post

Brookville, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport men's basketball team suffered its first East Coast Conference loss of the 2011-12 season on Wednesday might on Long Island, as the Purple Knights were defeated by the host C.W. Post Pioneers, 94-78.  Bridgeport is now 2-1 in the ECC and 7-6 overall.  The Pioneers are now 8-4 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Junior Hakeem Rodriguez (Queensbridge, N.Y.) led four Purple Knights in double-figure scoring with 21 points, and he also dished out five assists.  Classmate Lloyd Antoine (Brooklyn, N.Y.) grabbed 10 rebounds for UB.

Stefan Bonneau of C. W. Post led all scorers in the contest with 31 points.

Bridgeport will look to get back in the win column on Saturday afternoon at Queens (N.Y.) College.
