MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – In the first game of a four-game series against AIC, the University of Bridgeport's baseball team dropped an 11-4 contest to the Yellow Jackets on Friday.
It was a balanced effort for the Purple Knights as six different players totaled seven hits.
Junior Vin Mallon went a team-best 2-for-5 with an RBI while senior Jacob Rich hammered an RBI triple in the second inning.
Junior Jeremy Rodrigues continued his hot start to the season with another RBI double. He is now batting a team-best .450 with eight runs batted in and three walks.
Senior Anthony Pascale reached base three times in the contest, going 1-for-3 with a pair of walks.
