WILSON, N.C. – Facing another nationally ranked opponent during their spring break trip, the University of Bridgeport's baseball team dropped a 22-2 contest to No. 18 Barton on Tuesday.
Freshman Patrick Krempasky led the UB offense with a 2-for-4 day. He also walked to reach base a team-high three times. Krempasky is now batting .333 across a team-high 21 at-bats.
Both of Bridgeport's runs came in the eighth inning. Graduate student Sean Jefferson started the scoring with a solo home run while junior Marcos Dominguez doubled in a run.
On the pitching side, sophomore Vincenzo Bruno tossed a scoreless inning out of the bullpen.
