Myrtle Beach, S.C. – Capping off a four-game weekend in South Carolina, the University of Bridgeport's baseball team dropped a 9-6 contest to Adelphi on Sunday.
Jeremy Rodrigues continued his terrific start to the season with another great performance. The junior first baseman went a team-best 3-for-5 with a pair of RBIs. He is now batting a red-hot .563 in four games this season with seven RBIs, three home runs and a triple.
Jake Woods also boasted a solid stat line on Sunday. The Long Islander went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two walks, while freshman Patrick Krempasky knocked in two runs with a single in the ninth.
All in all, the Purple Knights piled up 10 hits and 10 walks. They had their offensive chances, finishing with 14 runners left on base. UB's comeback concluded with the tying run at the plate.
On the mound, junior Tim Dolan pitched extremely effectively out of the bullpen. The right-hander tossed three scoreless innings with a pair of strikeouts.
