Jordan Thurman

Bio

Jordan Thurman was elevated to UB's Head Athletic Trainer in August of 2025 after serving as an assistant AT over the past three school years. She originally came to Bridgeport after serving as the Head Athletic Trainer at nearby Fairfield Warde High School for seven years.

Thurman was a jack of all trades during her time at Fairfield Warde. She cared for and evaluated orthopedic and general medical pathologies for over 35 different sports. She also educated athletes on the prevention of common orthopedic injuries and established unique dynamic warm-up routines for individual teams.

In addition to her professional experience, Thurman also owns several certifications. She is First Aid/CPR/AED certified, BOC certified and a member of NATA. Thurman is also certified in cupping therapy.

Academically, Thurman earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Hofstra University in 2015. As an AT student, she assisted Certified Athletic Trainers with care and prevention of injuries, aided during emergency medical situations, and developed rehabilitation protocols and daily treatments.
