Bio
Ed Ardito was hired as UB’s Coordinator of Game Operations and Facilities in December of 2022. He came to Bridgeport after nearly 20 years of experience in coaching collegiate ice hockey.
Ardito’s most recent professional experience is a five-year stint as an assistant coach for the Quinnipiac University women’s ice hockey team.
While with the Bobcats, Ardito oversaw all aspects of student-athlete recruitment, focusing on elite 8-12th grade prospects and college transfers. He also organized all aspects of game scheduling as the team’s primary liaison with the conference office regarding league schedules.
In 2015-16, Ardito and Quinnipiac (30-3-5) made the NCAA Tournament as ECAC regular and postseason champions.
Prior to QU, Ardito served in the same position for Yale’s women’s ice hockey program from 2010-2015. While with the Bulldogs, Ardito served as the recruiting coordinator, produced scouting video and team video review, developed and ran morning skill sessions, and assisted in game and practice planning, among other tasks for the program.
A Connecticut native, Ardito was a three-time all-state hockey player and three-time team MVP at Branford High School. As an undergrad, Ardito played four years of hockey at New England College where he received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sport & Recreation Management.
Ardito’s academic journey was completed with a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Coaching & Athletic Administration from Concordia University.
