Drollinger and Vandelli Tabbed UB's Purple Knights of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – In recognition of outstanding performances in competition last week, Jaden Drollinger of the University of Bridgeport's volleyball team and Edoardo Vandelli of the men's cross country squad have been selected as UB's Purple Knights of the Week, for the week ending Oct. 27.

Drollinger served a vital role in a pair of 3-2 wins for the Purple Knights last week. She averaged a sensational 10.5 assists per set as Bridgeport earned dramatic victories over Dominican and Jefferson. Drollinger also finished the week with 29 digs, four kills and four aces. She eclipsed 50 helpers in each match and continues to lead the CACC in assists per set this season (9.94).

Vandelli piloted the Purple Knights at the 2024 CACC Championships on Sunday morning. The freshman from Italy earned All-Conference honors after placing 15^th in the race. He rounded the Belmont Plateau course in a time of 28:45.42. Vandelli was just the fourth freshman in the conference to cross the finish line.
