Boucher and Vandelli Named Purple Knights of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – After tallying standout performances in competition last week, Brooke Boucher of the University of Bridgeport's women's soccer team and Edoardo Vandelli of UB men's cross country have been named the Purple Knights of the Week, for the week ending Sept. 22.

Boucher registered a team-high six points during UB's two games last week. She was especially superb during a 6-1 win over Goldey-Beacom when she notched two goals and an assist. Boucher also assisted on a goal during a mid-week contest at Dominican.

Vandelli once again led the UB harriers for the third straight meet to open 2024—this time at the Codfish Bowl in Boston, Mass. Facing treacherous conditions due to heavy rainfall, the Italian finished in 17th place amongst NCAA runners. Vandelli posted an 8K time of 28:18.
