UB Boasts 170 Student-Athletes on CACC's Academic Honor Roll for Spring 2024

FULL UB CACC ACADEMIC HONOR ROLL

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - In honor of another sensational semester in the classroom, 170 student-athletes from the University of Bridgeport have been named to the CACC's Academic Honor Roll* for spring 2024. UB boasted a very similar number of honorees (171) in the fall as well.

The 170 Purple Knights signifies approximately 74 percent of UB's total student-athlete population (CACC sponsored). Bridgeport's baseball and women's soccer squads finished tied for the most UB student-athletes recognized with 28.

In addition to the totality of student-athletes honored, the CACC Academic Honor Roll is separated into three distinctions based on individual grade-point average:

UB had 33 student-athletes finish with FAR Award of Distinction (4.0 GPA), 76 earn Presidents' Level (3.5-3.99 GPA) and 61 obtain Commissioner's Level (3.0-3.49 GPA).

Overall, 2,123 student-athletes from the CACC were recognized on the conference's Academic Honor Roll for spring 2024.

"The CACC and its member schools work extremely hard in making sure that student-athletes excel in the classroom," Commissioner Mara said. "The total number of individuals on the Academic Honor Roll illustrates the tremendous effort put forth by administrators throughout our conference in mentoring student-athletes and teaching them that a college education will take them even further then they thought possible. Our student-athletes are learning valuable life lessons by achieving tremendous success in the classroom."

*The CACC Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes at the conference's 12 member schools who earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher during a semester. Student-athletes who reach the minimum GPA threshold each semester, and are listed on the institution's official squad list for their respective sport, will earn CACC Academic Honor Roll status.
