Rochester, N.Y.-Roberts Wesleyan's Dylan Ruiz netted his eighth goal of the season off an assist from Justin Robertson just 1:53 into the first overtime period to lift the host Redhawks to a 1-0 win over the visiting University of Bridgeport Purple Knights in an East Coast Conference match on Saturday afternoon in Western New York. UB is now 3-5-2 overall and 3-2-0 in the ECC. RWC moves to 4-4-1 overall in 2021 and 2-1-1 in conference action.
Roberts Wesleyan outshot UB, 14-8, on the afternoon.
UB goalkeeper Clement Anet (Grad., Cosse le Vivien, France) made six saves in net on the day, and RWC's Caleb DaSilva stopped five Bridgeport shots on goal to record the shutout.
