Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport men's soccer team battled the visiting Queens (N.Y.) College Knights to a 0-0 double overtime draw on Senior Night in the Park City on Saturday at Knights Field. With the tie, the Purple Knights are now 8-4-1 overall and 4-3-1 in East Coast Conference play. Queens is now 8-4-2 overall and 5-2-1 in the ECC.
The match was just as even as even can be, as each team took 14 shots and took six corner kicks.
Each goalkeeper, freshman Carlos Tofern (Hamburg, Germany) for Bridgeport, and Michael Bolvin for Queens made three saves.
The Purple Knights outshot the visitors, 2-1, in the 20 minutes of extra time.
Up next, the UB men's soccer team will close out its 2018 home slate with a non-conference contest against East Stroudsburg on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
