Mission
The University of Bridgeport’s strength and conditioning program supports the mission of both the department of athletics and the University. In addition, the strength and conditioning program will create a safe, competitive, and disciplined environment that is both physically and mentally demanding. Our goal is to enhance the student athlete’s preparedness so they can become successful in their respective sport as well as their future endeavors after they graduate.
Philosophy
The University of Bridgeport’s strength & conditioning program will utilize the most up to date training exercises, techniques and protocols that are professionally implemented and supported by science to prepare the athletes body for the physical demands of sports and to reduce the likelihood of injury. This philosophy is rooted in the development of these key performance principles:
