Markus Naglestad And Clayton Ulmer Earn NSCAA All-East Region Accolades
Naglestad Selected To First Team And Ulmer Named Second Team NSCAA All-East Region
Bridgeport, Conn.- Two members of the University of Bridgeport men's soccer team, forward Markus Naglestad (So., Kristiansand, Norway) and defender Clayton Ulmer (So., Hamden, Conn.) have been selected as 2011 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) NCAA Division II All-East Region performers.
Naglestad, who led the Purple Knights in scoring with 22 points on eight goals and six assists, was named First Team NSCAA All-Region, and Ulmer, the 2011 East Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year, was selected to the Second Team NSCAA All-Region squad.
The University of Bridgeport men's soccer team wrapped up the 2011 season with a 9-7-1 overall record, and the Purple Knights made their ninth consecutive conference tournament appearance.
