UB's Clayton Ulmer And Markus Naglestad Earn Daktronics Inc. Men's Soccer All-East Region Honors
Ulmer Earns First Team Accolades And Naglestad A Second Team Selection
Bridgeport, Conn.-Two members of the University of Bridgeport men's soccer team, defender Clayton Ulmer (So., Hamden, Conn.) and forward Markus Naglestad (So., Kristiansand, Norway) have been selected as 2011 Daktronics Inc. All-East Region performers in voting conducted among sports information directors at NCAA Division II institutions that are members of the Central Atlantic Collegiate, East Coast and Northeast 10 Conferences.
Ulmer, the 2011 East Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year, was selected to the First Team All-Region squad, and Naglestad, who led the team in scoring with 22 points on eight goals and six assists, was named Second Team All-Region.
The University of Bridgeport men's soccer team wrapped up the 2011 season with a 9-7-1 overall record, and the Purple Knights made their ninth consecutive conference tournament appearance.
