Naglestad Scores Four Goals To Lead UB To ECC Win Over Molloy
4-0 Win Riaises Team's Conference Record To 4-1-0.
Bridgeport, Conn.-Freshman Markus Naglestad (Kristiansand, Norway) scored all four University of Bridgeport goals as the Purple Knights cruised to a 4-0 home East Coast Conference men's soccer victory over the visiting Molloy College Lions on Sunday afternoon. Naglestad now leads UB with 11 goals on the season, and in three matches this week, he scored eight goals. With the win, Bridgeport is now 9-5-0 overall and 4-1-0 in ECC play so far in 2010. Molloy falls to 2-10-0 overall and 0-4-0 in conference play. Sunday's win is also the Purple Knights fourth consecutive victory, and second straight win by shutout.
UB goalkeepers Milos Suljagic (SR, Belgrade, Serbia) and sophomore Danny Hernandez (Bay Shore, N.Y.) shared Sunday's clean sheet. Suljagic made four saves, and Hernandez made one stop in net.
Bridgeport returns to action next Saturday afternoon at Dowling College.
