Patric Brundin Scores Two Goals For UB.
Brookville, N.Y.-Junior Patric Brundin (Gothenburg, Sweden) scored two goals on Saturday afternoon, but it was not enough, as C.W. Post's Joakim Ohlson netted the game-winning score with 18:25 to play to lift the host Pioneers to a hard-fought 3-2 East Coast Conference men's soccer win over the University of Bridgeport.
After C.W. Post scored just over two minutes after the match's first whistle, Brundin scored his first goal of the day off an assist from senior Tim Stipo (LaVerne, Calif.) at the 8:23 mark.
Brundin would then tie things at 2-2 when he scored on a penalty kick at the 59:17 mark.
Saturday's loss snaps a three-match UB winning streak, and the Purple Knights are now 5-4-0 overall and 2-1-0 in ECC play. CWP ups its overall mark 4-4-1, and the Pioneers are 2-0-0 in conference play.
The Bridgeport men's soccer team returns to action on Wednesday night at Southern Connecticut State University. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
